Additional requirements/one-time requirements
If you receive citizen's income, you can receive additional monthly benefits for certain life situations. The following additional benefits are available:
- Additional needs during pregnancy: From the 13th calendar week onwards, additional monthly benefits are granted up to and including the month of delivery. Please provide us with medical certification of your pregnancy.
No copy of the maternity log
For data protection reasons, please do not send us a copy of your maternity log.
- Additional needs for single parents: If you are the sole caregiver for your minor child/children, you will be granted a monthly allowance for additional needs depending on the age and number of children.
- Additional needs in the case of severe disability if you are also receiving benefits for participation in working life. The determination of severe disability alone does not trigger additional needs.
- Additional costs for expensive food if you are required to follow a costly diet due to illness. To claim these additional costs, you must complete form MEB and have it certified by your doctor. A medical certificate is required.
- Additional demand for hot water production
