Education and participation
Education and participation benefits are often referred to as an education package. The education package includes:
Culture, sports, participation: Children in need should not be excluded from leisure activities, but should be able to participate in sports, games, and cultural activities. For example, the job center can cover the costs of membership in a soccer club.
School supplies: Additional cash benefits are granted at the beginning of the school year and at the beginning of the second half of the school year for pupils' personal school supplies, such as writing, arithmetic, and drawing materials, as well as for sports clothing and general equipment such as school bags and pencil cases.
Excursions: A subsidy is paid to children in need so that they are provided with the necessary learning materials. In addition, the costs of one-day excursions in schools and daycare centers are financed. Multi-day school trips in accordance with school regulations are also covered after confirmation by the school.
Learning support: Needy students can take advantage of learning support. The prerequisite is that the school confirms the need and that no comparable school programs exist.
Lunch at daycare, school, after-school care, or daycare: A subsidy for communal lunch is available if the daycare, school, or after-school care center offers this service.
