Child supplement
Child supplement is a social benefit that low-income families can apply for in addition to child benefit. The Family Benefits Office NRW East is responsible for child benefit applications. As a rule, you cannot receive child supplement at the same time as citizen's income.

Application mandatory
If you have received a request to apply for child supplement, you must do so immediately. You are obliged to apply.
You have received this request because you may be eligible for higher financial support through child supplement than through citizen's income.
Notify the Jobcenter immediately if you have applied for child supplement.
