Power cut

You must generally pay your electricity costs from your monthly standard benefit. If you are in an emergency situation and have already been threatened with having your electricity supply cut off, or if your electricity has already been cut off, you can apply for a loan.

Loans are only available to people who are also entitled to monthly citizen's income.

Apply for a loan

Before applying for a loan, you must request installment payments from your electricity provider. Only if the installment payments are rejected can you apply for a loan.

To do so, you will need: the application form, a current list of outstanding payments from your electricity provider (no older than 5 days), the disconnection notice, and proof that installment payments are not possible.
