New employees

Selecting and hiring suitable employees is one of the keys to your company's success. To gain clarity about the suitability and motivation of applicants, you can carry out a so-called measure with an employer (MAG/unpaid internship). The applicant applies for this MAG themselves with their responsible integration specialist at the job center. This allows you to assess their professional knowledge, performance, and career development potential directly in your company. There are no costs involved for you; you simply need to inform your accident insurance provider.

If you want to hire a new employee, not every employee will immediately have the full performance capacity you require for a variety of reasons.

To compensate for individual shortcomings in performance, you as an employer can receive an integration subsidy (EGZ).

Integration subsidy (EGZ)

Despite intensive efforts, it is not always possible to find applicants who exactly match your profile. As an employer, you can receive financial support as soon as you want to hire someone who receives citizen's income from the Hagen Job Center. The new employee may not meet your requirements 100%, but the job center can compensate for any shortcomings due to a lack of knowledge or skills through the integration subsidy.

Amount and duration of funding

The amount and duration of funding is always decided on a case-by-case basis. Funding can last up to 12 months and cover up to 50% of the employee's salary.

Please note that all subsidies must be applied for before starting work and are subject to a post-employment obligation. The contact persons at the Jobcenter will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
