New Employees
Selecting and hiring suitable employees is one of the keys to your company’s success. To gain clarity on applicants’ suitability and motivation, you can arrange a so-called “work placement with an employer” (MAG/unpaid internship). The applicant applies for this MAG themselves through their designated integration specialist at the Jobcenter. This allows you to assess their professional knowledge, performance capabilities, and career development potential directly within your company. There are no costs to you; you simply need to notify your workers’ compensation insurer.
If you wish to hire a new employee, not every employee will immediately possess the full level of performance you require, for a variety of reasons.
To compensate for individual limitations in work capacity, you, as an employer, may receive an integration subsidy (EGZ).
Integration Subsidy (EGZ)
Despite intensive efforts, it is not always possible to find applicants who perfectly match your job profile. As an employer, you can receive financial support as soon as you wish to hire someone who is receiving basic income support from the Hagen Job Center. The new employee may not meet 100% of your requirements. However, the Jobcenter can compensate for any shortfalls in performance due to a lack of knowledge or skills through the integration subsidy.
Amount and Duration of Funding
Decisions regarding the amount and duration of funding are always made on a case-by-case basis. The funding period can last up to 12 months and can cover up to 50% of the salary.
Please note that every subsidy must be applied for before starting work and is subject to a post-employment obligation. The Job Center’s representatives will be happy to answer your questions.
