Trainees/young people
Selecting and hiring suitable trainees is one of the keys to the sustainable success and long-term competitiveness of your company.
To support you, the Hagen Youth Employment Agency offers subsidies to stabilize existing training relationships (e.g., a form of tutoring) or the opportunity to complete a long-term internship (entry-level qualification) at your company.
On this page, we provide information about possible subsidies for trainees who are already employed and for the planned hiring of trainees.

Entry-level qualification (EQ)
Does your company offer training, or would you like to offer training? Would you like to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to receive training?
There is the option of offering an entry-level qualification (EQ). An entry-level qualification is an internship subject to social insurance contributions. It is designed to prepare teenagers and young adults who have already decided on a specific career for training. In the company, they are introduced to the relevant training content and can demonstrate their skills. Such an internship lasts between six and twelve months. You pay the participant a remuneration, which can be subsidized. If the young person has previously been employed in your company and subject to social security contributions, they are not eligible for funding.
Summarized for you:
Entry-level qualification (EQ)
Requirements:
Compulsory schooling completed
No completed training
Participation periods:
October 1 at the earliest (in exceptional cases, August 1)
