If you are married, you should provide proof of separation by means of a declaration of separation. You can submit this to the tax office, which will issue you with a confirmation. Please submit this proof to us together with Appendix VÄM (notification of change).
If you are not married and you or your partner have already left the shared apartment, please provide us with proof of this in the form of a registration certificate.
If the separation is initially taking place within the shared household, please notify us of this using the VÄM form (change notification). You can submit this in person, drop it in the mailbox, or send it online via your jobcenter.digital portal.
